Good to know

Still wondering about something? Our team is here Mon-Fri · 9am-6pm Eastern.

Is a merchant cash advance a loan?

No. A funder pays your business a lump sum today in exchange for a share of its future sales, under a Revenue Purchase Agreement. The cost is a fixed amount agreed up front, not interest, and it is never expressed as an APR.

Does FundSpring fund the advance?

No. FundSpring is a free referral service, not a funder. We pass your request to third-party funders, who decide independently whether to make an offer and set every term.

Who can apply?

US business owners and self-employed operators, 18 or older, usually about 3 months in business with around $1,500 a month in revenue and a business bank account. For commercial use only. Not available in California and New York.

Will checking my options affect my credit?

No. Seeing your options is a soft inquiry and does not affect your credit score. A funder may verify the business, its bank activity and its owner before making an offer, with your consent.

How is an advance paid back?

Usually as a set share of daily or weekly card or bank receipts, or as fixed debits that can be reconciled to actual revenue. The method and your rights are written in the funder's agreement.

Does it cost anything to ask?

Nothing. FundSpring never charges you, before or after. A funder may pay us when a request we pass on results in a funded advance.

Ready to see your options?

It takes about two minutes, it’s free, and it won’t affect your credit score.
